What is INI CET?
Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test or INI CET is the entrance test for the PG Courses offered by 11 elite institutions in the country. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi conducts this national level entrance exam. INI CET replaces PG entrance exams such as PGIMER, JIPMER PG, NIMHANS entrance test and AIIMS PG. From 2021, the entrance criteria for the PG courses will depend on the marks obtained in the INI CET.
INI CET exam pattern
- INI CET will be held twice in a year (May for the admission in July and November for the admission in January).
- The entrance test will be an online exam, which has test centres in 64 cities all over the country.
- The test will be objective type.
- There is no age limit or number of chances one can attend the test.
- The entrance test will be the benchmark for MD, MS, DM, MCH and MDS.
- Applicants should possess MBBS, BDS or equivalent courses from any recognised institutions in the country or outside.
Cut-off marks for INI CET
- Applicants who fall under general, OBC and general PWD groups must possess a minimum of 55% in the aggregate mark.
- For SC, ST, SC-PWD and ST-PWD must score 50% marks.
How to register for the entrance test?
Registration for the PG medical entrance examination can be done in two stages, basic registration and final registration. For this, students can login to AIIMS, Delhi’s official website using their valid email id and mobile number. If the attempt is not successful then they can make necessary changes in the INI CET application form which is available on the website.
Students who have successfully done their basic registration can generate RUC code which is mandatory for final registration. Fill the required form and pay the fee for completing final registration. For those, who have successfully done all the steps, will be issued with an admit card which will be vital for the whole process to come.
